Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
